Rant

I wanted to talk about Bullying, as it is something that really bothers me. Bullying is a horrible thing to anyone that is a victim. Bullying happens in every school. Every time I go around the school in the hallways, I hear people gossip, name call, and make false accusations of others that they hardly know. To go through a burden of people saying false things about another person is horrible. Some people do not realize that when you gossip, and tease someone, it hurts the person emotionally. We’re all not perfect. We’re human. We do have a tendency to talk, but SERIOUSLY.  You do not know what the other person goes through when you talk about them.  Bullying really needs to stop.  In the end it just hurts people, and nobody wins the game.

SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED

I have been reaching for my singing dream now for at least eight years.  Today, my single "Losing My Mind," written almost two years ago appeared on The Al Walser Top 20 countdown as number eighteen!  This is an amazing day for me on a personal level.  Al Walser is a very talented artist. Besides hosting his own radio show, he is also a producer, songwriter, DJ and Grammy nominee.  Check out his weekly radio station. It's every Saturday online, airing from Los Angeles, California.

Accidental Masterpiece Chapter 2

Chapter two of “The Accidental Masterpiece” seemed to latch on to different things. What grabbed my attention in particular were the different types of Artistry, and how Artistry can be linked to influencing the world.

The chapter jumped into subjects like MTV, Generation X, and, political leaders like Winston Churchill, and Harry Truman.  I believe everything somehow is connected.  Art is just an expression of things in your surroundings.  The song “We Didn’t Start The Fire” by Billy Joel, was inspired by the craziness in the world during the 20th century segment that the audience lived in.  Sometimes, art doesn’t have to be about global events.  You can make your own art from personal things too.  I am actually working on a song called “Fiery Red” right now.

My song is about two people that were friends, and one friend then turned on the other and started to be a jerk.  Then the second friend started to act nicer to the first after initially being a serious jerk.  I wrote that song because it is something people all can relate to.

At one point we have all been struck by venomous people.  The lyrics I wrote really pull at heart strings that we can connect to personally.

Everything has a link. If you open your eyes wide, you can see that everything is connected in some way.

The Accidental Masterpiece Script

(Bonnard sculpting in his art studio)

Bonnard: One more pose, Marthe.  Just keep hanging in there.

Marthe: (sighs)

Bonnard: What?

Marthe: You know, I don’t want to do this anymore.

Bonnard: What?  Are you having a bad day?

Marthe: It’s just… That… (Shrugs and turns away.)

Bonnard:  (Walks over and puts hand on Marthe.)  Marthe.  Spit it out.  What is bothering you?

Marthe:  The other day I saw you canoodling with another Woman.  Maybe it’s time we stopped Marriage, and got a divorce. (Starts walking away from studio.)

Bonnard: (starts running after her) Marthe!  Why would you think I would cheat on you?

Marthe:  (Turns around) YOU.  You said cheat!  I knew I should’ve been with you everywhere you went.  I guess I shouldn’t have let out of my sight.  I THOUGHT we had something special.  You’re a liar, and a pig!  I hate you!

Bonnard: Marthe. You have known me for so many years.  How long have we been married for? 10 years! 10 years is a decade, and a decade is a lifetime of many memories.  I had a really bad past with other women until I met you.  You were like an Angel when I first placed my eyes on you. You’re out of the ordinary.  You’re fantastic, beautiful, and my everything.

Marthe:  Tell that to the girl you were canoodling with. Enjoy your new life with Lindsay Lohan!  I’m sure you’ll have the fabulous life you’ve always wanted.  Everybody will drool, and wither in jealousy in your presence with your new wife.

Bonnard:  Lindsay and I are JUST friends!  I was walking down the street a few days ago, and then I see Lindsay half drunk, driving her new sports car, and driving from the cops driving down the street.  Apparently, Lindsay stole the ‘Mona Lisa’. (Laughs)  Typical Lindsay.  Anyways, as I’m walking minding my own business, I heard a “Help” in a meek voice!  I then found a hung over Lindsay Lohan lying in the corner. I didn’t want to leave a hung over person in an alley way corner, so I picked her up, and started carrying her.  I think the Alcohol really did it to her.  Lindsay then starts punching me, and I then fall down on the Alleyway floor with Lindsay lying down on me.  All of a sudden, the paparazzi just shows up out of nowhere from the roofs, and starts taking pictures of Lindsay and I.  That is why you found a picture of Lindsay and I quote on quote Canoodling.

Marthe:  Whatever, enjoy your life keeping up with Lindsay. We’re through! (Exits Studio)

Bonnard: (Face palms and sighs) Those stupid Lohans.  (Exits Studio)

Independent Project

We started working on our own independent projects a few days ago. Because I am one of the new kids on the block, I was placed in a group with a few other new kids, and we are making a "Be Kind Rewind" film.  It is a very interesting concept to filming.  Our group rolled various ideas that ranged from many different things.  We eventually agreed on making a film on a mutated poop that goes around and attacks people.  This is going to be pretty controversial.  I think it will be really fun! We are going to start filming this week.  I can't wait!  I love seeing the reactions of other people when they see things come at them from out of the blue.  I wonder if anyone will laugh?  I mean,  it is a mutated poop that goes around and kills people. Hmmm...  We will have to see what happens when our project is done!

The Accidental Masterpeice Introduction

Introduction

In the introduction of "The Accidental Masterpeice," we are given a brief introduction about the life of Peirre Bonnard.  Bonnard is a artist.  Artists often look for inspirations about the world around them.  In Bonnard's case, he found Marthe, a woman with psychological problems.  When someone has psychological issues, there is a good and bad that comes with having them.

Bonnard was able to depict Marthe's problems by putting them into art.  Everyone has gone through something, or is currently suffering from something.  We're human.  That is how our lives are. Bonnard was able to take all of Marthe's problems and turn them into something that should be compared to two swans swimming in a lake.  That's beautiful.

Artistry is a different thing to people.  Every artist is different.  The actors can convey another person's character, the dancers create a rhythm in a story with movement.  The writers can captivate another person and take them to a whole other world with imagination.  A singer can captivate a performance through the way they act to the song.  The songwriter can take another person away for a few minutes through sound, and lyrics that can touch the fragile human heart.  The filmmaker can show you worlds and images by taking you briefly away to another's life.  And the fine artist can express him/herself through symbolism.

Symbolism a term one might find used in English class.  It is in every aspect of what we do.   For example, the flag symbolizes patriotism to many people.  It is showing you what you want to see and taking you away to where ever you want to go emotionally.  You are seeing through another lens.

Every Artist expresses his/herself in different forms.  It's not only limited to art, others express themselves in different ways too.  Maybe others have more reckless ways of showing themselves to the world, maybe others have less reckless ways.

You are YOU.  You cannot change that about yourself.  I like to express myself through singing, acting, writing, and songwriting.  That is me.  Nobody can change that about me.  We are our own people.  I am my own person.  How do you express yourself?

The Accidental Masterpeice

In STAC we are reading a book called "The Accidental Masterpeice".  After I read the first chapter a few days ago, I realized I could relate to Bonnard, the main character, and the Artist of this book.

I am only sixteen years old, so I can't relate to various marriages, nor have I had a serious boyfriend yet.  One thing I can relate to personally is Bonnard. He struggles with his Wife Marthe.

Marthe has many psychological disorders. I can relate because I sometimes feel anxious.  Anxiety shows itself differently in different situations.  It can be a real pain. Anxious people can be nervous and can feel overwhelmed in many otherwise normal situations.  They may have a hard time with interpersonal relationships because of nervousness.  In social situations, I can sometimes be awkward around the people I don't know that well.  I am very quiet too.  When I am with my really good friends or family, it is actually like a switch came on and I relax and let my hair down.  The shy quiet flower within me will come out, and an array of butterflies sparkle in patterns of circles.

When I am in school, it feels like I am ridiculed by others for many things I do. This makes it hard to move forward creatively.  With self expression in school, within moral boundaries, there is no right answer when being creative, as long as you are trying to solve a problem or respond to a challenge.  Some people agree with this philosophy but some don't.  Other teenagers also have the same difficulty overcoming inhibitions placed on them and by others.  I am an Artist. I see the world differently than anyone else.  You, the reader of this blog, see the world from your unique perspective too.  Everyone sees things differently.  It can take courage to express yourself differently from arbitrary social norms.  The truth is, some people aren't mature to handle that, and because they are afraid of what is in front of them, they cower, and do something really stupid or tease people who are courageous enough to try new things.

Being ridiculed is a good example of a running Bull.  The running Bull,  is running no where and pushing everything in their path because they are scared or not focused on what is in front of them.  My father always tells me that if you run with the herd you will only go as far as the herd will take you.  I don't want to stop or wait for the herd to run in my direction.  I know that this creates anxious situations but I am what I am.

Bonnard's wife, Marthe, lives with many psychological disorders.  It pains me to see that another person has to deal with a mental problem.  Marthe made her marriage to Bonnard hard to live with. Even though he tolerated her problems, it also showed that he really loved her.

Although mental problems are really difficult to live with, there's always a silver lining in a black cloud.  Often you are forced to see the world differently.

Biography

All About Me - Samantha Daniels

I am a sixteen year old singer - songwriter who also loves to write and act.  From the time I was a young whippersnapper, my parents have always encouraged me to be creative and to be a problem solver.

My goal is to become a professional recording artist or an actress.  I love both, BUT being a recording artist is my dream.  Acting, yeah acting can go second, but I really love it.  I became interested in a performing arts career when I was about eight years old.  Until then, I wanted to be a Veterinarian.  I did love to sing before, but I think my gut was finally telling me "Sam, your actual dream isn't  supposed to be a veterinarian.  Your REAL dream is to be in the entertainment industry." Since then, it has been the goal I have been chasing. Oh wow, eight years already?  Let me continue.

I got my first taste of professional singing when I started posting videos of when I was eleven on YouTube.  Then, I did something I will always look back on.  I tried out for "America's Got Talent".  I auditioned in New York City. Even though I was one step from being away on the actual show, I never forgot it.  Around the same time, I learned something about acting at Way Off Broadway, an acting school.

When I got to high school, my acting/singing career started to get really interesting.  Acting wise,  I was in a student film called "Safe In My Mind" that was filmed at Herricks High School.  That is when I knew I really started to like Film Acting.  In the spring of 2013, I tried out for "XFactor" but didn't make it.  The experience was memorable and really fun.

Then, My sophomore year of high school became really crazy with my singing/acting career.  I met this man who has mentored me for about a year now.  He is very important in my life, as he gives me insight about the music industry. We started recording music together, and developing songs from the song lyrics I had wrote within the past few years.  During this time, I cut my first single - 'Losing My mind".  In late December of 2013, I appeared on The "Steve's chapter's radio show".  This is a talk show that recognizes talent musically, and talks about current events.

My life started to change after that.  I started introducing myself, and emailing myself to music executives, and managers, and applied endlessly for opportunities on 'Backstage.com".  Through these efforts, I have appeared in two films and impressed music executives with my single.

In the summer of 2014,  I appeared in a upcoming short film that will be at the Sundance film festival in 2015.  This film is called "Epic Feud".  Then, something too good to be true happened.  Losing My Mind, my single, was selected and will be part of a top twenty hit countdown on an international online radio station network that syndicates to over 80 stations all over the entire world with 12.5 Million listeners. This is a new,  and really exciting adventure for me.  I can't wait.

I am really really really excited to share my life on my STAC blog!  The best part of this for me is that I've accomplished most of these things on my own.  I hope you enjoyed my biography and look forward to sharing more with you in future blog posts.

xoxo

Week #1

I have survived my first week of being in STAC!

STAC is a really fun, interesting program.  STAC is kind of like Hollywood Arts from this nickelodeon show 'Victorious'.  In 'Victorious', the kids are all artistically talented.  That's basically the same for STAC, except it is not in a fictional Television show,  It's actual real life.

STAC is actually nothing like the other creative classes I've taken.  There's a more free flow feeling to it.  I like that.

I think I may have had a rough time socially the first two days because I'm a shy person when I'm brought into new situations.  Especially Social ones with people I don't know well which causes me to become very socially awkward and quiet.

By the third day, I became more comfortable, and started to come more out of my shell. We are starting to design T- Shirts as a project Mr. Ganes and Luke assigned us.  I've partnered up with my bestie, Danielle.   We've already started to develop ideas and designs.  I think this will be a really fun project!

STAC is going to be interesting.  I am so happy and excited to experience something new and personally challenging, especially when projects don't need a "right answer".  Thankfully, these projects call for creativity and expressiveness.

I will be graduating high school in about 20 months.  Yes, I am a junior.  Twenty more months until I am no longer a minor.  My last two years of school are going to be great!
