Review of 2014

Since the New Year is rapidly approaching, I thought that I could review my whole personal year.   If I had to rate my personal year in 2014 out of 100, I’d say that I would give this year a 50.  I had some ups and downs this year, but I think it was overall an ok year.

Emotional
The first half of 2014 was honestly hard for me on an emotional level.  I had more anxiety,  I had a lower self - esteem, and I just felt like my whole world was spiraling out of control.  However, I was able to pull it together, and I ended up becoming more confident by the second half of the year, so that’s good!

Career

I’d have to say that this was probably the most exciting year for my music/acting career.  This year, I had more opportunities than any year before.  I introduced myself to music professionals, went on local radio stations, was televised on a showcase in Manhattan, and I ended up being in a few more films.  One film that I was in will be at Sundance next year, so I am pretty happy!!!  But I think the biggest accomplishment that was really successful in my career so far was being on the Al Walser Top 20 countdown as number 18, on an international radio of 12.5 million viewers with the song that I wrote and sang.  I feel proud of my accomplishments!

STAC

STAC is an amazing class.  This class really helped me with my confidence, and I am really glad I got into the program.  This class is not like any other class I’ve taken
at school. You’re allowed to be creative, you become very independent on school trips, such as trips into NYC!  This class also brings the best out of you, you are put out of your comfort zones to try new art forms, and I met some really cool people in STAC. It really allows you to grow as a person.

Everyone’s personal experience with 2014 is different.  Mine was ok, so I am happy with that.  Even though I had my ups and downs, everything turned out fine.  I hope 2015 brings me wonderful opportunities on a professional, and a personal level.  I wish you have a happy new year, and I will be writing my next blog post in 2015!

The Golden Mile

The world might be a hard flight, but it forms a golden mile.  Sometimes this golden mile may become shaded, and everything becomes faded, and there is a feeling of frustration.

Sometimes the world around you might seem like a lie, but those lies help you fly in the long run.   Even though the shadows always point at you like a paparazzi, you come out like a superior statue.   The shadows will diminish with age and time. You then turn curses around you like they’re your own blessings, and not your own messings.

As time goes on, you become a golden statue, and the ones that laughed at you are now as thin as a stick.  The world is now your oyster, despite what you endured.  You have now conquered the golden mile.

Really Cool Disney Theories

Lately I have been reading about Disney theories. Theories are really interesting to think about because they really get you thinking.  I thought that I could share some cool Disney theories that I’ve come across

1.     Jane from Tarzan and Belle from Beauty and the Beast are relatives

Are Jane and Belle actually relatives?  In the movie “Tarzan”, there is one scene where Mrs. Potts and Chip make a cameo.  This suggests that Belle passed the tea set through generations.  I know Disney has this habit of placing little hints in their movies of other Disney characters too, so it could just be a cameo or maybe something even more.  Beside Mrs. Potts, both Belle and Jane look physically similar, dress similar, and have an attraction to animalistic men.   Who knows, maybe this theory could be true

2.     The Little Mermaid, Frozen, and Tangled are all connected

I was mind blown when I read this.  In this theory, it starts with Flynn and Rapunzel getting married.  Elsa and Anna’s parents were invited to the marriage and then they board a ship to go to the royal wedding.  On their way to the wedding, the ship breaks, and sinks.   If you carefully look at the ship, you will see that the ship looks exactly like the one in The Little Mermaid that was under the sea.  Besides similarity in looks, each place that all three movies are set in are geographically close to each other.  The Little Mermaid takes place off the coast of Denmark, Tangled takes place in Germany, and Frozen takes place in Norway.  I could never look at all three of those movies the same after I read this.  All  I think about now is this theory every time I hear one of those movie titles

3.  Andy’s Mom from Toy Story is going through a divorce

When I was little, I always wondered why there wasn’t a dad shown in Toy Story.   Apparently, there is actually a theory for why there isn’t a dad in the Toy Story series.   If you look at Andy’s mom in the movie, you will notice she doesn’t have a wedding ring.  When you are married, you are supposed to have a wedding ring.  Also, why is Andy’s family moving to a smaller house?  This would indicate that Andy’s dad has now stopped being apart of the family.  Because the mom doesn’t have the father to back the family with money, Andy, Andy’s sister, and his mom move out to a smaller house that supports them financially.    I think overall, this theory could be true

4.     The Pixar Theory

I love this theory.  In this theory, every Pixar movie is connected through a timeline. (I am warning you in advance that this is a really long theory.)  The theory starts during the 14th-15th century.  A princess (Brave) starts experimenting with magic and turns her mom into a bear.  This magic is the reason why animals and inanimate objects behave like humans.
The magic was then utilized by a witch that has the ability to vanish through doors.  This magic would then lead to the birth of superheroes.  Let’s head to the 1950’s during the era of superheroes.  The Supers (The Incredibles), and other superheroes kept balance in the world until a wannabe superhero named Buddy starts creating artificial intelligent robots that starts building threats for the superheroes.

This is now a movement in which we see artificial intelligence starting to pose as threats to the superheroes.  One of the Artificial Robots sent off electro magnet energy around the world.   As a result, the toys then start absorbing some of the powers from the Artificial Robots that had this energy.  Now we jump to the late 1990’s in the year 1997.

Toys (Toy Story) start to show the first signs of life due to the previous technological wavelengths.  The toys then start to show rules and codes that they make up and realize what happens when they are isolated from humans, due to the fact that humans are now a newly discovered power source.  Two years later (Toy Story 2), the toys start showing resentment to the humans and then start questioning their actual purposes in life.  It is then discovered that the animals share resentment to the humans as well.

Now we are in the new millennium, in the year 2003.  We discover that the animals in the ocean (Finding Nemo) are starting to show more humanistic advancements due to human polluting the ocean, and are doing experiments on the animals.  Dory was one of the animals that was experimented on, which causes her short- term memory.  The animals are starting to show more signs of resentment to the humans, and start to question their new human features.

Four years later, we meet Remy (Ratatouille).  Remy is shown to be the first animal with advanced intelligence to interact with another human.  Remy comes off as wanting to help make linguini, but it is an actual scheme to control the humans.  The rat clans are showing more resentment to the humans, and they are now starting to fear and hate them.

Three years later (Toy Story 3), the toys start to develop hatred towards the humans due to emotional and physical abuse.  Lotso The Huggin’ Bear starts to take care of his own kind.  This is now starting to provide a reason for toys and objects alike now feeling ready to take over.  Carl and Ellie (Up) write a letter to Andy to discard his toys because they are aware of the future between humans and toys, and they are starting to prepare to live in solitude.

In between the years 2011-2016, Carl is forced to give up his house to BNL.  BNL is a fast moving company that is now expanding towards the city.  This is starting to foreshadow how this company will pollute and wipe out all life forms in the future.  During Carl’s journey, Carl discovers that animals can successfully communicate with humans and discovers the animal’s bitterness to humans.

Carl then trains an army of dogs effectively.  This now becomes the tipping point between humans and dogs.  Years later, a short war between animals and humans break out.  The humans end up winning the war thanks to the machines that saved them.

In the years 2100-2200, Earth’s balance started to become tipped.  Because of Earth’s problems, the machines sent the humans on a spaceship called Axiom.  Once all of the humans left, all of the machines were left to populate. (Cars)  The machines ended up thriving until Allinol was invented. (Cars 2)

Allinol was a company run by BNL.  Allinol became a catalyst for anti alternative fuel, which resulted in a whole war for fuel.  Because of the whole war thanks to BNL, the Earth becomes unstable and unsustainable for life.  A century later, one robot (Walle-E) becomes the only machine left on earth.

This robot was the only survivor because of his human fascination, and friendship with a cockroach.  (Very few living beings survived Earth’s problems, and all the machines but the robot left earth due to their own independence.) The robot helps bring the humans back to earth after a century, and the human race is saved. The robot ends up growing a tree on Earth after the human race is brought back.

In the years 2898-3000, we discover that the tree that the robot planted is actually the tree that bugs now thrive with.  Mutated bugs (Bug’s Life) are now living around the tree.  The bugs that evolved from mutation are now sturdier, and live longer than the average bug.  The other bugs advised one bug to not leave the island that they live in under the tree because of all the dangerous animals.

Not once, did the other bugs talk about the humans.  They didn’t warn the bug that wanted to leave about humans because of the fact that the human population is really small.  In the distant future, animals are now starting to evolve into more dominant species.

Another century later, the animals start changing into monsters due to BNL’s leftover radiation.  These monsters end up wiping away the whole human race by accident.  A monster university (Monster’s University) starts to form by the year 1313. (This is the monster calendar.  The monster calendar is different from the human calendar, and shows that their events took 1400 years after A Bug’s Life.)

At the monster university, monsters were taught that the humans were toxic and were from another dimension.  The monsters then become worried of altering history and being erased. Years later, the monsters then realize that getting rid of the humans was a mistake, and then use machines that they started to create to travel through generation, and generation for their energy source. (Monster’s Inc)

One monster ends up meeting a little girl when traveling through time, and then he and the little girl then form a friendship.  Eventually the monster had to say goodbye to the little girl. The little girl travels through time afterwards, and becomes a witch that's now forever searching for her monster friend.  This theory really makes me think of a whole other side to Pixar.

Theories are a lot to think about.  We don’t know if they’re true or not, but it is always fun to speculate in the end.

Shattered Glass

Nobody sees her shattered glass that she always carries.  The glass looks pretty and normal on the outside, but in the reality of who she is, she is like a wilted flower.   She feels that the world is a mess, and she’s always been a distress. It’s almost like her life is like a china doll.

She’s so fragile that she does crack inside.  On the inside she is breaking and not awake.    She feels she is very helpless to the world, and to herself.   The world around her is such a race.

Most of the time, she ends up falling in muk, and gets stuck while everyone around her passes by. Her mind understands one thing, but her body always does something else no matter how many times it is explained.

She then will hear the shadows whisper and point out everything she does. It’s like a record that does not stop playing.

Although her shattered glass numbs her, there is a tiny light that always gives her hope.  She always relies on that light to get her through each day, and she hopes and hopes for a new life despite her hard flight.

Pets and Relationships

I was watching a video on a guy surveying people on if they would rather have a pet, or a boyfriend/girlfriend.  Intrestingly,  most people  in this video said that they would rather have a pet.  Personally, I would actually agree with those individuals.  People are complicated, and relationships are complicated.

With pets, they just love you for you. They don’t care about the superficial things that people do, they will always listen to you, and you can’t help but love them.
Everyone has different ideals for what they want in a guy/girl. Not every relationship is like Noah and Allie’s relationship from “The Notebook”, but that would be nice.

My ideal guy would be someone that is healthy, down to earth, has a good sense of humor, smart, can have a intelligent conversation, likes to have a fun, creative, caring, and understanding.  Overall, I just want him to be himself, but these are qualities that I would want in a guy.  If more relationships were like pets and owners, I think relationships would improve by a huge amount.
